I made this simple framed wall decor many years ago when my son was about a year old. I used a mixture of some scrapbook paper and card stock, traced our hands and then cut out the hands and glued them on top of each other. I used colors that would match my dinning room, but it could be used anywhere in the house. I added my daughters hand when she was born and added a color that would still work with our dinning room.
This could be modified by using different quotes, different materials if you wanted it to look more rustic etc. and of course different color schemes.
