Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Recipe

I can’t seem to keep up with Bananas lately before they start getting overly ripe.  I started making Banana Bread because my kids like it but also because it is very easy to make.  Here is a very simple recipe for the Banana Bread I use regularly.

You can easily add different things to the bread for example nuts or different types of chocolate chips.

Preheat oven to 350 Degrees Farenheit.

Ingredients:

3 Ripe Bananas

1/3 Cup melted Margarine

1 teaspoon Baking Soda

1 Pinch of Salt

3/4 cup Granulated Sugar

1 Egg

1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

1 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour

1 Cup Chocolate Chips

1.)  Mash the peeled Bananas in a medium sized mixing bowl.

2.) Add the melted butter, and mix.

3.)  Add the Baking Soda, Salt, and Sugar, and mix.

4.) Add the Egg, Vanilla Extract, and Flour, and mix.

5.) Add Chocolate Chips and mix until everything is well incorporated.

Grease a loaf pan with spray butter, place in preheated oven and cook for about 50 minutes.  Is done when the edges are browned and the center is not soft. You can test it with a tooth pick inserted into center and if it comes out clean is fully cooked.  Let sit at least 5 mins to cool before removing from loaf pan.
