Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is my favorite recipe for Chocolate chip cookies, because they are the perfect mix of sweet and salty.  They are very easy to make and come out perfect.  The key is to not melt the butter and to use the baking soda and the salt.  I mix all the dry ingredients separately and then add them to the wet ingredients.

When I bake cookies I have gotten into the habit of using silicone baking sheets which help the cookies to lift right off once they are cooled.

(Preheat oven to 350 Degrees )

1 Stick of Butter (not melted)

1/2 Cup Brown Sugar

6 Tablespoons of Granulated Sugar

1 Egg

1  1/2 Teaspoon of Vanilla

1  1/2  Cups Flour

1 Teaspoon of Salt

1/2 Teaspoon of Baking Soda

1 Cup of Chocolate Chips

1.)  Mix the butter, Brown Sugar and Granulated Sugar until everything is smooth

2.) In separate bowl, mix the Flour, Baking soda and Salt.

3.) Add the Egg and Vanilla to the Butter mix.

4.) Pour the Flour Mix to the butter mix until ingredients are incorporated.

5.) Add the chocolate chips

6.)  Scoop onto trays with silicone mats.

7.) Bake at 350 degrees for about 8-12 minutes or until edges are browned.

Let cool for about 5 minutes, and enjoy!
