Each year my daughter likes to make her teacher something for Christmas. This is the first year when she has more than one teacher, so we had to think of something that would be cheap but could be customized for each teacher. I challenged her to come up with something that would use up some of the arts and craft supplies that we already had.
She ended up making these cool arrows. She started with a bag of popsicle sticks and some paint. She painted 3 sets of 15 popsicle sticks, each set a different color. Then we started hot gluing them together. We did the tips of the arrows first and then the ends and then connected.
We ended up with one arrow that was smaller because I messed up in gluing, but my daughter ended up liking it shorter, so we left it that way. My daughter is going to give all 3 arrows to one teacher because she thinks that the teacher would like to hang them in her classroom.
The nice thing about this is that you could customize each set. Add washi tape to one set. Make another set all one color. Add words to another set. Paint them in holiday colors or your home team’s colors. Embellish with flowers! The possibilities are endless!!
