This was a service project that my quilt group made for a local hospital. There are kids going through cancer treatments who don’t have many choices of things to do so we tried to give them something fun to wear. They are truly super heros. This was a free pattern from a website called Sewing with Nancy Zieman. It gives easy to follow instructions.
Who doesn’t love the sock monkeys from our youth? They still make the socks and you can find them at Hobby Lobby and Joann’s. The directions for making the sock monkey doll is included on the label, or you can go on line to find the directions.
My kids love making things with popsicle sticks. I wanted to harness their creativity and make something for a decoration we could use throughout the years. We made these Frankenstein faces and Scarecrow faces by lining up some sticks however wide you want the face to be and then laying one across the top or back at an angle, and gluing it down to hold it all together.
