This was a service project that my quilt group made for a local hospital. There are kids going through cancer treatments who don’t have many choices of things to do so we tried to give them something fun to wear. They are truly super heros. This was a free pattern from a website called Sewing with Nancy Zieman. It gives easy to follow instructions.

Pillowcase Service Project
When I retired, I joined a quilt club in a neighboring town. This group not only works on their own individual projects but does many service projects. Since we live close to several hospitals, we started making pillowcases and super hero capes for kids going through chemotherapy and don’t have a lot of choices in their lives. We try to make them fun with super hero fabrics or other fun fabrics.
