If you have a nosey neighbor and live in a neighborhood where houses are close together, and there really isn’t a way to block them out yet, this might be a good solution for you. We recently planted some privacy plants along the fence to act as a taller privacy wall but we need to wait for that to fill in. So in the mean time, we decided to add a privacy wall on the deck itself. We screwed in some 6ft long 2×4’s vertically to the posts of the deck railings. Then at the top of each of those, we screwed in an outdoor curtain railing, to hang some outdoor curtains. You could go with an extra wide panel so that you wouldn’t have to worry about it opening in the middle with the wind blowing etc. We did two regular size panels and then cut into the middle seams and placed some magnets to hold it together. Then on the outside seams, we sewed some paracord so that we could attach the curtain to the posts.
